Vera Lee Lyle Barger, 88, Dies

Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, Douglasville. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Park, Lithia Springs, with grandchildren serving as Pallbearers.

 

Vera Lee Lyle Barger, 88 of Douglasville, passed away, Friday, Nov. 9. She was born July 21, 1924 in Buchanan, GA., to the late Jesse and Minnie Patterson Lyle. She worked as a seamstress for the Arrow Shirt Company and was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, Jesse and Minnie Patterson Lyle, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barger, Sr., sisters: Katie Stokes, Louise Haynes and Frankie Biggers.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law: Roy and Kathy Barger of Acworth and Michael and Susan Barger of Sharpsburg; brothers: Johnnie Lyle and Eugene “Bunk” Lyle, both of Cedartown, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel, Douglasville. Interment will follow in the Mozley Memorial Park, Lithia Springs, with grandchildren serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Monday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 1p.m.
