Update on Recent Kitty Adoptions

If you've been thinking about a getting a cat, now is the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter.

Lady Antebellum was rescued Thursday and is safe being prepared for a new home for Valentine's Day.

Neil Diamond has a sponsor from Oxford, Alabama for his adoption fee and microchip. He is still available for adoption at the Douglas County Animal Shelter.

Cupid has been adopted and received the grooming needed. She is a beautiful, long-flowing haired Rag doll and so happy in her new home. 

Bear Bryant and Lou Holts have been rescued and are happy in there new home.   Autumn has been adopted.  Jeremiah and Bella are still at the Douglas County Animal Control and hoping to be rescued or adopted very soon.

If you’re interested in adopting a pet, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.   

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required.
