Unknown Male Suspect Sought in Attempted Abduction
A man approached a 14-year-old boy in the Greythorne Common Subdivision and asked if he wanted a puppy.
On Wednesday March 6, at about 5:25 p.m. a 14-year-old male was walking in the Greythorne Common Subdivision when he was approached by a black male in his forties, wearing a hoodie, with a baseball cap and a doo rag under the cap, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page.
The man was driving an older model red, Ford Explorer with a cracked rear passenger's window when he pulled up beside the 14-year-old. The man asked the 14-year-old if he wanted a puppy; the boy replied "no." The driver then asked again in a stronger voice if he wanted a puppy. This frightened the boy and he ran to a house, and the Explorer drove away at a rapid pace. The 14-year-old reported that he didn't see or hear a dog in the Explorer.
