Sweet Snuggles Needs a Friend

Poor, sweet Snuggles just lost her family and is really hoping to find a new one soon.

You may want to grab a few tissues, because Snuggles will break your heart. This sweet girl was turned into the shelter by her previous owner, and it’s easy to tell that she’s pretty sad about her new home. She is spayed and about three years old.

Snuggles is said to be a purebred Border Collie, and she is truly a gorgeous dog. She is a little on the hefty side and might need a little extra TLC from her new family, but this amazingly sweet girl will repay you with more love than you will know what to do with. She just loves to be hugged and, well, snuggled.

If you’re interested in adopting Snuggles, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. The Douglas County Animal Shelter can be reached by calling 770-942-5961. To learn about other animals available for adoption from the Douglas County Animal Control, view their adoptable pet list.

Snuggles still really needs a home! She is very scared/sad and looks a little rough, but she is so sweet.

I'm happy to say Snuggles has been adopted by a Patch reader! Just got an email from her new mom. I was getting really worried about her, but she is safe and sound in her new home now.
