Sunday School Teacher Mary A. Rogers, 90, Dies

The family received friends at the Midway United Methodist Church on Monday. The funeral service immediately followed in the church sanctuary. Rev. Frank Boone will officiate. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA.

 

Mary A. Rogers, 90, formerly of Austell, passed away March 15, at Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedartown. She was born July 19, 1922 in Leitchfield, KY., daughter of the late Elmer Sands and Amy Kerr Sands.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. For many years she was secretary/treasurer of the Pilot Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph R. Rogers, Sr. and great-grandson Jeffrey Michael Eubanks.

Surviving are her children Norma Jean Duckett, Sandra R. Kelley and husband Wade, R. Raymond Rogers and wife Rebecca and Michael L. Rogers and wife Linda; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
