Sukie Wants to go Home with You

This cat is available at the Douglas County Animal Shelter.

By Pat Hopper

Sukie is unique, being an orange, female tabby. Her dark orange stripes blend in with the lighter buff orange which is of medium length. She has extra long white whiskers and shiny gold eyes. She came into the shelter on March 16 and received the FRCP Injection. She is small, young and the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She is a lover and gives more in return than she receives. She will be scheduled soon for spaying and her current rabies.

Cat ID#:               Kennel ID#:  12-03-1118

If you’re interested in adopting a pet, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.

These pet listings are updated frequently but the animal(s) featured may already be adopted or no longer at the shelter. If you find the pet you desire no longer there, please consider another great animal that still lives there.

The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. The Douglas County Animal Shelter can be reached by calling 770-942-5961. To learn about other animals available for adoption from the Douglas County Animal Control, view their adoptable pet list.

Sukie is a sweetheart. She has already been spayed, vaccinated and combo tested negative. So one small adoption fee and she is ready for her new furrever home!

Suki is a great little kid, but no way to tell about dogs right now. In the cat room, she seems to be fine with other cats. She has some runny eyes right now and is being medicated.

Hi Debra, here is what Pat emailed me: She has not shown any reaction to the cats in the Cat Room. Do not know about dogs. If you have a dog, you are welcome to bring it to the shelter and a private area will be provided for the two to meet.
