Joshua Couch, 17, is in the Douglas County jail tonight after being charged with criminal attempt to commit a felony on Tuesday.

According to wsbtv.com, Couch had been doing Internet searches on hazardous chemicals like cyanide and was jailed for making terroristic threats against his school, New Manchester High.

Couch's Douglas County sheriff's arrest report says no bond was given.

A Douglas County Sentinel article has a quote from sheriff's investigator Sgt. Jesse Hambrick.

""We have a four-year history with Mr. Couch and know him and his family," Hambrick said in the Sentinel article. "Two individuals came forward with information that he may be exploring this. As soon as we were made aware of the threats, we acted quickly and were able to obtain information that led us to make the arrest."
