The Douglasville School of Art is currently enrolling students age 4 to 16 for summer art camps. With the setting of an authentic professional art studio and gallery in the downtown Douglasville historic district, artists draw and paint with a variety of media including pencil, colored pencils, markers, pastels, charcoal, ink, and acrylic paint and also use clay and other manipulatives. The school uses quality materials including stretched canvases and watercolor paper. The cost is $100 for the week (we supply all materials as well as a healthy snack), and the schedule is as follows:
June 25 - 29 10 a.m. to noon
July 9 - 13 10 a.m. to noon
July 16 - 20 10 a.m. to noon
July 23 - 27 10 a.m. to noon
July 30 - Aug. 3 10 a.m. to noon
We also have regular classes for children on Monday nights 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to noon.
The school has a 12-year tradition of the best drawing and painting summer camps in the Douglas County area with a history of more than 1,500 enrollees.
