What's This Going to Be?

It's going to be a Popeyes restaurant. Opening in March, it will be one of only about 20 new "Louisiana Kitchen" versions across the country.

Construction workers are just putting the final touches on this newly-themed “Louisiana Kitchen” Popeyes on Highway 5, in Douglasville, with a scheduled opening of approximately March 1.

A memorable, Louisiana-fast style reminds consumers that the brand’s unique, authentic taste is based on a time-honored tradition of 12-plus hours of marination, Alicia Thompson said, VP of Atlanta-based Popeye's communications.

In addition to offering flavorful spicy and mild bone-in and boneless chicken, buttermilk biscuits and world-famous red beans and rice, this new Popeyes serves seafood items such as shrimp and crawfish.

Other side items include dirty “Cajun” rice, french fries, mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy and cole slaw.

“We are re-energizing our legacy of food superiority and authenticity.” said Cheryl Bachelder, CEO of Popeyes in a press release. “For us, it’s not just what we make, it’s how we make it–slow cooked food for a fast-paced life. Our brand repositioning caters to the ever-changing needs of our guest without wavering on the authentic flavor and recognizable look that Popeyes fans know and love.”

Thanks Fred, I didn't have the physical address, so that is a great description.

Not my preferred eatery but at least they will be paying taxes and employing people. Welcome to Douglasville Popeyes! I wish you guys the best. We have lost too many restaurants over the years and I lost count of how many.

Nice to know there will be a quality name restaurant in Dville instead of another low budget, cheap mom and pop store.
