Police Catch Lottery Ticket Thief
Thomas Perez, 25 of Atlanta, has been arrested, charged with breaking into a Shell Mart and Walgreens on Chapel Hill Rd., as well as the Shell gas station on Lee Rd.
Thomas Perez, 25 of Atlanta, has been arrested, charged with breaking into a Shell Mart on Chapel Hill Rd. on June 8. Perez is charged with two counts of burglary, criminal attempt to commit burglary and two counts of second-degree criminal damage to property.
Perez appeared in magistrate court Monday, according to the Douglas County Sentinel. He is believed to be the man caught on surveillance footage stealing lottery tickets and other merchandise. The footage also showed him arriving and leaving in a white Ford van.
Newport cigarettes, money, and other stolen merchandise was valued at an estimated $1,662, the Sentinel reported.
Perez is also accused of trying to burglarize the Walgreens on Chapel Hill Rd., driving a stolen van into the wall of the building; as well as another Shell gas station on Lee Rd. in Lithia Springs on June 14, the Sentinel said.
Arrest records indicate that Perez is currently in the Douglas County Jail and no bond has been granted.

Again, kudos on apprehending this thief. We don't need nor want his kind in Douglasville. Lock him up and toss the key.

That's great news!!! He needs to be made an example of so that others see that Douglasville is best to pass up for some less harsh town.
