Patrick Blake Dowdy, 23 of Douglasville, passed away Monday, Feb. 18. He was born March 14, 1989 in Lithia Springs. Blake was an avid sports fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and all his Atlanta teams.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister, Tami Lee. He was also preceded in death by his fiancé’s mother, Trena Couch.

He is survived by his fiancé, Melissa Couch; daughter, Layla Malynn Dowdy; mother, DeDe Dowdy; father, Douglas Dowdy; sisters, Robin Hill and husband Tony, Jennifer Leatherman and husband Carlton; brother-in-law, John Lee and his wife Dawn; nieces and nephews, Zack, McKenzie, Luke, JenniBeth, Logan, Avery, Shelby, and Catherine. He is also survived by the fiancé’s family, her father, Joey Couch, Sr.; sister, Misty Couch; brother, Joey Couch, Jr.

The funeral service will be today at 2 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. David Parrish officiating. Entombment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved sister.
