If he hadn't come here our friend & neighbor would be alive. What was his excuse foe burgularizing & murdering his wonderful neighbor.!?

Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and other right wingers calling themselves Republicans said Zimmerman in Miami should not be judged before his trial for the killing of a black teenager, Trevyon Martin.

Now this man is being judged before his trial and before a single piece of evidence has been presented to convict him of murder AND burglary.

I suggest we wait for the trial.

One thing is certain, if Sheriff Miller direceted that more resources of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office were used for neighborhood patrols instead of loading the schools with cops and fishing for traffic fines on Thornton Rd and hwy 20, we would be safer.

Some of us obviously have more information than others. GUILTY is GUILTY just because someone isn't convicted of a crime doesn't mean they aren't guilty all it means is they weren't convicted... If they committed the crime they are GUILTY.....I am sure the evidence will overwhelmingly prove this man's guilt and there will be a conviction I just don't believe his punishment can ever pay for this crime, no matter how severe the punishment,

i just want to say thank u bruce...... most people are just looking at the race of this man and makeing an uneducated guess as to wat really transpired that day untill evidence has been provided people should not b so quick to judge wat if this was their family member that commited this horrible crime.. i agree bruce everyone needs to wait and see the evidence.... as far as im concerned innocent till proven otherwise... david is a family man with three small children that i happen to know very well and a wonderful wife.... DONT BE SO QUICK TO PASS JUDGEMENT PEOPLE...

While I believe in the sentiment of "innocent until proven guilty", I fail to see how anyone can think this man is innocent. He was in Mr. Peden's home, without Mr. Peden's knowledge. Mr. Peden was stabbed to death. Mr. Baltodano may have a wife and children, so did Mr. Peden. That doesn't make a person a "family man". "Family men" do not inflict violence on others. "Family men" do not enter other's homes, uninvited. "Family men" work hard, and provide for their families honestly. You may say "I happen to know him very well and on and on", and Amber, you may feel like you did, but criminals (with criminal history) don't volunteer their backgrounds, past convictions, and certainly don't reveal what goes on behind closed doors to others. You never really know your neighbor, and that is something you can bank on.
My husband and I are grateful to have spent many years as the Peden's neighbors, and sincerely feel the family's loss.
And please note, I never mentioned this man's race, ethnicity, or age. His actions speak for themselves. And the evidence will, too. One can claim to be "not guilty", but physical evidence will prove otherwise.
I am in complete agreement with Bruce on one issue, and that is increasing neighborhood patrols. After our home was burglarized, and we were cleaned out of everything of value last October, patrols increased for a week. I haven't seen an officer in my neighborhood since. But you can't go a mile on Hwy 5 without seeing one.

We live two houses away and were in and out of the house while this crime was occuring that day. We've spoken to the Police about what we saw. It could just as easily have been any of us (neighbors) and that scares the "security" out of me. I hope that they have the right person (we believe that they do) and it would be wonderful if he just happened to be the one who was responsible for the robberies that have occured in our quiet neighborhood over the past few months. Is this a sign of things to come or is this a one time, freak and horrible, occurance? Let's pray for the latter.

All against Mr Baltodano sound like ignorent people. Yes a crime was committed and yes what happened was wrong. But how bout we stop being nosie and just mind our own business and let the law and also both families deal with what going on. At the end of all this only 3 people know what really happened and why. Tjose 3 people are GOD,Mr. Baltodano and Mr. Peden.. Just because there was no sign of struggle dont mean Mr. Baltodano wasnt provocted. I rest my case and will let both families deal with whats goin on..
