Oh how sad. Prayers for those that lost their lives.

My heart is very heavy. I can't imagine what the families must be going through. I hadn't heard about this accident until this evening, but it's ironic that I was talking to a friend about different ways to get to Cascade rd and she mentioned Thornton Rd and replied "I avoid Thornton Rd, it's a death trap." They really need to add more stop lights in an effort to get drivers to SLOW down, your life depends on it.

I'm surprised that there isnt more bad wrecks involving trucks and cars. There's just too much traffic using this road and people don't obey the speed limits and I have been on Thornton and have seen people changing lanes without using signals or squeezing into spots barely big enough to get into. Not to mention those who like to tailgate. Your not going to get anywhere faster by zipping in and out of traffic nor by getting on someone's rear end, just go with the flow and traffic would move a whole lot smoother. I know truckers need to work too but they never should have opened a truck rail yard where trucks would have to use that end of Thornton to get to it on C.H. James end, there was already to much traffic in this area with all the businesses to add on all the trucks going to the rail yard and they are bad about speeding through there. Just my opinion.

Trucks shoul be banned between blairsbridge and riverside drive truck have a harder time stopping several wrecks a month happen at douglasshill truck go to fast down the hill and when the light changes they can not stop

If trucks are banned, they can't get to the businesses in that area, there are several warehouses. They just need to slow down!

Oh my God, this is terrible, I knew Michelle and she was a go getter, a sweet person, I am just saddened by the news!!!! I agree with you Julie they neeed to slow the h$%$ down!!!!!!

The reason theres such a back up of trucks is all the red lights,espiecally the ones on hills.Takes forever for a loaded truck to get going again after stopping.Then here comes another one behind it,like a cloged drain running slow.Green light time on the main rd should be greatly increased then you would see less trucks because they would be at their destination,let the people on the side streets wait.
80% of truck/car crashes are caused by the car,judgeing from the picture this one was too.Unless the truck ran a light its doubtful he could have stopped in time even at the speed limit of 45.Any damage in door forward usually means fault of the one that pull out in front,Continuing to go as far as he did after impact though suggest bad brakes or speeding.Guess I'll leave it up to GSP inv. for the final opinon though.Shoulda woulda coulda were still down 2 lovely wemon.

Trucks have to be in that area. Nothing u can do. Simple fix is make the light have longer cautions. With longer cautions less wrecks because even if some one runs a light the other person should be sitting waiting on the green. 10 yellow would save lives
