Metro Bank President and CEO, Ken Barber, and his staff celebrated the recent opening of their new main branch and corporate office on Friday with a grand opening celebration, complete with a Douglas County Chamber ribbon cutting. Metro Bank recently relocated their main branch and corporate office to 9340 The Landing Drive in Douglasville.

The all day festivities included a cookout in the bank parking lot, live music, tours of the new building and giveaways. Mayor Harvey Persons and County Commissioner Chairman Tom Worthan were present to celebrate the day as well as City Councilman Carl Pope. The message from both the Mayor and the Commissioner was a message of appreciation and support for Metro Bank. “While some community banks are suffering, it is great to see yours thriving and the City is proud to have Metro Bank in the community as an example for other businesses,” commented Persons.
