Meet Wanda D

A weekly column about writers and writing around Douglasville. This week's interview is with a local real estate professional, television host and poet.

In keeping with Wanda D's straightforward interview, she needs little introduction. I will give you a few highlights. Wanda D is a realtor with Keller Williams and helped find my awesome house. She hosts a real estate Internet TV show called Wanda D TV, is also acting in an Edgar Baines play, and will be emcee on the American Poet - GA Sports TV poetry competition being hosted by Foxhall Sporting Club. Believe it or not

Combine the sun and the moon
And there you'll find me.
Mix the sand and the sea
And there you'll find we!
Come into a world of make belief and find hopes of paradise
Love and the everlasting
When the sun shines down on us
Telling us everything is good.
It's where the wind whispers in our ears, saying stand still.
And listen to the silence of peace
The echoes of laughter and the shots of pains.
Is it really make-believe or is it our reality?

Sprinkled with passion
And nurtured with hope
Hope in the belief that we can…
Capture the magnificent light of pleasure long after the pain.
Long after the tear drops of disbelief.
Long after the chaos of confusion
Is it really make-believe or is it our reality?
Let's now soar into the pleasure of peace
The total satisfaction of serenity
The divine essences of communication
My world of make believe or is it really reality
