The Douglas County Animal Shelter is open for adoptions through Christmas Eve afternoon.
The Douglas County Animal Shelter will be open regular hours this week through Friday, and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Christmas Eve, for adoptions. There are dozens of puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats who need a good home.
If you’re interested in adopting a pet, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. They are closed on Monday.
The adoption fee for all dogs and cats is $25. All pets are required to be spayed or neutered within six months of adoption. Yearly rabies vaccinations are also required. Molly was adopted yesterday along with 17 other animals. What a wonderful week it has been for those animals who have found their forever home. Merry Christmas to all.
