John Edmond Fleming Dies
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
John Edmond Fleming, age 55 of Villa Rica, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, at Piedmont Hospital following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1956 in Marietta, the son of the late Charles Fleming and the late Eleanor Lemon Fleming.
His childhood church was Hollydale Baptist Church in Cobb County. He was a Lay Pastor and an RA Director. He worked as a senior computer analyst for WellStar Health System at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. After his retirement, his love of children and teaching lead him to volunteering at Winston Elementary for more than eight years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Danny Ann Ross Beck Fleming of Villa Rica; one daughter, Lisa Chandler of Douglasville; one sister, Nancy Elois Baird of Marietta; two brothers, Larry Wayne Fleming of Ellijay and Randy Fleming of Marietta; two grandchildren, Bryce Oneal Chandler and Lucas Ian Chandler; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. According to his wishes, his body was cremated.
