Jerry Lindsey Bryant Passes

Jerry Lindsey Bryant, age 72 of Winston, passed away Sept. 10. He was born Aug. 2, 1939 in Carroll County to the late Henry Jason Bryant and Ollie Beatrice Anderson Bryant. He worked during his thirty-five year career for Douglasville Concrete Company and Wayne Davis Concrete. He was Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Clois Bryant and Austin Bryant and son, Billy Joe Bryant.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Yvonne Brown Bryant of Winston; daughters and sons-in-law;  Annette Bryant, Sammy Bryant, Sheila and Scottie Barger, all of Douglas County, Ralph Bryant, Danny and Erica Bryant, all of Carrollton; Steve Bryant of Winston, Julie Bryant and Tabitha and David Emerson, all of Villa Rica; brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul and Dora Bryant of Temple, Ralph and Florance Bryant and Clifton and Martha Bryant, all of Bremen, Elvin Bryant of Villa Rica, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. from with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Josh Barger, Brandon Barger, Jerry Bryant, Charles Bryant, David Harper and Jimmy Bearden, serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Monday, Sept. 12, from 4 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
