Herbert L. Cox, 82 of Daytona Beach, FL., formerly of Douglasville, passed away April 18. He was born March 13, 1931 in Rome, GA.
Mr. Cox was retired from BellSouth as a Fiber Optic Technician. He was a former member of Lithia Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen Self Cox; his parents, Leroy and Lennis Sheffield Cox; his brother, Gene Cox and his sister, Frances Eley.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa Dillon and husband David of Daytona Beach, FL; son, Terry Cox of Winston, GA; grandchildren, Michael Dillon and wife Angela, Monica Rainwater and husband Scott, Kristin Cox, Cory Cox; great-granddaughter, Madison Bookheimer; brother, Hershel Cox and wife Carolyn; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was Sunday in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. R. C. Watson officiating. Interment followed at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
