Starting today, qualifying families in Douglas County may call to schedule an appointment for possible energy or heating assistance, under the Low-income Home Energy (Heating) Assistance Program, Tallatoona Community Action Partnership, Inc.

All appointments must be made by telephone, at 770-383-3292.

The following items must be brought to the appointment when it is scheduled:

• Picture ID or birth certificate
• Original Social Security cards for all household members
• Proof of citizenship or immigration status
• Proof of income for all house hold members 18 years and older for the last 30 days
• Most recent heating bill

Appointments will be scheduled until all available funds are obligated. This program can only assist with the utility that serves as the primary heating source.
