H&M Coming, Yankee Candle Leaving

H&M is expected to open at Arbor Place Mall this winter and Yankee Candle is leaving, currently offering 50 percent off of some merchandise.

The scent of Bahama Breeze will be wafting out the door early next week at Arbor Place Mall, when Yankee Candle closes its doors, making way for international fashion retailer H&M.

The closing of Yankee Candle will make way for the 10,000-square-foot H&M store, projected to open this winter, according to the Douglas County Sentinel.

Management at Arbor Place Mall announced the addition of H&M last week, a retailer that says it offers fashion and quality for everyone at the best price. The offerings are designed for customers of all ages who want everything from updated basics to on-trend party wear, accroding to a press release. The clothing lines are complemented by footwear, accessories and cosmetics.

H&M will be located on the upper level of the mall and is projected to open prior to the 2012 holiday season.

“We are thrilled to be adding a store of this caliber at Arbor Place,” said Arbor Place Mall General Manager, Bill Ball in the release. “H&M is an extremely popular retailer that appeals to shoppers across many demographics and will be an excellent complement to the retailers already in place.”

Specific details regarding the grand opening of H&M will be released closer to the projected opening date. H&M joins a long list of recently announced retailers opening at Arbor Place this year including Sleep Number by Select Comfort, Forever 21 and Ashley Stewart. Children's clothing retailer P. S. from Aeropostale opened on April 6 while the Gymboree concept Crazy 8 opened April 25 at the mall.

I was happy with the addition of MAC and Express last year and now I cannot wait for H&M to open at Arbor Place! I'm so glad Arbor Place is stepping up their stores. Finally, I feel I can spend my money in my own community instead of the Atlantic Station, Buckhead, and Perimeter areas.
