2012 Kathy Brock Reading Bowl Competition
Saturday, Jan. 28 at Alexander High School. Admission is free, and is open to the everyone. A quiz-bowl type, Countywide competition between schools where students read 20 books and are quizzed on the content. Chapter Books: 9:30 a.m. to noon, Picture Books: 1 to 3 p.m.
District 4 Town Hall Meeting with Commissioner Ann Jones Guider
Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m., in the Dog River Library Community Room, 6100 Georgia Highway 5. Admission is free and it is open to the public. Come visit with Commissioner Guider and talk about what is happening in District 4. All County citizens are welcome regardless of their residence. For more information call 770-920-7266.
Saint Rose Academy Open House
Saturday, Jan. 28 from 1 to 5 p.m., at 6218 Hospital Way. Offering Pre-K4 through 8th grade in an affordable faith-based education with dedicated certified teachers, safe environment and small class size with a challenging enriched curriculum.
