Free Health Screenings Offered

Free health screenings and immunizations will be offered at the Family Life Restoration Center, Inc. in Mableton on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. These screenings are available to Douglas County residents.

 

Free health screenings and immunizations will be offered at the Family Life Restoration Center, Inc. in Mableton on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. These screenings are available to Douglas County residents. Free fruits and vegetables will be offered to the first 50 participants.

This is a program of the Atlanta Regional Commission Area Agency on Aging in Cooperation with Community Partners.

"As we age, we realize the importance of taking good care of ourselves," reads the flyer. "Taking advantage of preventative services is one of the best ways to stay healthy. Grab your friend and make a commitment to your health by attending."

Identification is not required for services. There is a cost for some vaccinations.

The Family Life Restoration Center, Inc. is located at 6105 Mableton Parkway.

  • Flu Pneumonia Vaccines ($89)
  • Tetanus Vaccines (Tdap)
  • Blood Glucose Screening
  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • Cholesterol Screening
  • Women’s Health Screening
  • Depression Screening
  • Vision Screening

  • SNAP (Food Stamp) Enrollment Assistance
  • Senior Transportation Information and Referral

Just a little curious....If this Restoration Center is located in Cobb County, why is the Health Screenings only open to the residents of Douglas County ???? Inquiring minds really want to know....???
