Death Penalty Sought In Yeager Rd. Killing

David Joshua Baltodano is charged with killing his neighobor, Donald Peden, 65, on April 11. Peden, who lived across the street from Baltodano, was reportedly stabbed to death.

Accused killer David Joshua Baltodano, 27, will face the death penalty after paperwork was filed Friday, according to the Douglas County Sentinel.

Baltodano is charged with killing his neighobor, Donald Peden, 65, on April 11. Peden, who lived across the street from Baltodano, was reportedly stabbed to death.

The killing allegedly happened when Peden walked in on Baltodano burglarizing his Yeager Road home, the Sentinel reported. The notice filed cited "that the killing allegedly happened during the commission of felonies, that the crime was outrageously and wantonly vile, horrible and inhumane" and included depravity of mind and involved torture as reasons for seeking the death penalty," the newspaper said.

Baltodano said in court he was born in Nicaragua and lived in Miami before moving to Douglas County. His immigration forms are outdated, the  Sentinel reported.

This is just another illegal alien criminal, who victimizes American citizens while living here illegally. At least here in Douglas County, it is still news. I am from Southern California, where 1 of 5 residents is an illegal alien. The crime, graffiti and violence are unbelievable there and it is headed this way. We need to stop it while we can. Our Sheriff and Police Chief need to lean on the feds to deport these pukes before these murders become the norm. If the feds don't do their job, make some noise.

Look at the police blotter here on the patch. Have you noticed how many Hispanics are arrested for driving without a license? It is an excellent opportunity to determine that they are here illegally and turn them over to Customs & Border Protection agents for deportation. The best way for law enforcement to prevent crime is to to be proactive. Illegals are already criminals simply be being here illegally.
