A portion of Church Street, a main Douglasville downtown artery, will be closed beginning today, from 7 a.m. and will reopen no later than Friday, Jan. 11, according to Marcia Hampton, Douglasville's community and downtown services director.

Church Street from Price Avenue to Bowden Street will be closed for the installation of a crosswalk.

The closure will affect the Church Street entrance and exit to the parking deck. It will not be assessable to vehicle traffic. Drivers wishing to utilize the parking deck can still use the Spring Street entrance and exit.
