Charlene Harriette Sparks Berry Dies

Charlene Harriette Sparks Berry, age 73 of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, May 27. She was born Dec. 19, 1938 in Okmulgee, OK., the daughter of the late Charles “Jack” Sparks and the late Lorena O. Beck Barr. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nowata, OK. She retired from Wells Fargo where she worked as a teller and loan officer supervisor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Deal Baker Berry; sister, Margaret Joanne Park and brother, Phillip Gary Sparks.

She is survived by her son, Phillip Anthony Berry and his fiancé, Jean Gribble of Douglasville; three grandchildren, Steven, Leah, and Victor; one great-grandson, Julian; cousin, Joe Sparks; brother-in-law, Clesson Park; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. from the First Christian Church in Nowata, OK with Pastor Rob Crawford officiating.
