Catherine Cathy S. Garrett Dies

The family will receive friends, today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Hightower's Memorial Chapel.

 

Catherine "Cathy" S. Garrett, age 60 of Douglasville, passed away, May 17. She was born June 8, 1951 in Atlanta, to the late James Marvin Scott and Helen Scott Collins. She was a loving wife, mother, maw maw, homemaker and a member of the Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, James marvin Scott and Helen Scott Collins, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Janet E. Ellis.

Survivors are her husband, John Wayne Garrett of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Chad Hallman of Bremen; son and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey W. and Anthea Garrett of Douglasville; sister: Lee Tabor of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Cameron J. Garrett and Ashlyn B. Hallman.

Funeral Services will be held, Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel, Douglasville with Pastor Rick Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in the West Georgia Memorial Park with Johnny Vaughn, Cameron Garrett, Chris Garrett, John Tabor, Bo Willis and Jimmy Barge serving as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Chad Almon and Jimmy Dennis.

The family will receive friends, today from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
