Boys & Girls Club Golf Tourney Set

Put your woods and irons to work and golf for a cause, register for the Douglas County Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament to start great futures.

 

Friday June 1, the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Boys & Girls Club will host its 12th Annual “GOLF FOR A CAUSE” Golf Tournament at Canongate at Mirror Lake Golf Club in Villa Rica. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit educational programs and expanded teen center at the Douglas County Club.

“Each year we are amazed at the support our community gives to our kids. Never before have we needed the continued support of our county more as we look forward to doing even more to make a difference in the lives of our kids,” states Board President Davidae Walker in a press release.

GreyStone Power Corporation is the Title Sponsor. John Bleakley Ford is sponsoring a brand new 2013 Ford Mustang to be given to the winner of the Hole-In-One Contest. Other sponsorship opportunities are: One team of four for $350 (sponsor two teams–become a Gold sponsor); $100 for Individual players and $100 for a hole sign sponsorship. All sponsors receive recognition and marketing opportunities during the event.

Registration begins at noon with the shotgun start at 1 p.m. Awards will be given to the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Putting Contest. There will be a $5 raffle for a flat screen television from Best Buy, and a special “split-the-pot” cash raffle. Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A. Following play, golfers will enjoy Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Que at the awards presentation.
