Anita JoAn Cox, 72, Dies

Anita JoAn Cox’s memorial service will be Saturday, March 23, at 4 p.m. at Lakeview Seventh Day Adventist Church,

 

Anita JoAn Cox, 72 of College Park, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, March 7. She was born June 1, 1940 in Kalamazoo, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Horace and Vesta Eunice Byers Maxson. Mrs. Cox was a former teacher with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a member of Lakeview Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Vesta Jean Curtis and Loretta Ruth Curtis; sons, Daniel Wesley Cox and Timothy Allan Cox; brothers, Harry ‘Max’ Maxson and Glen Maxson; 4 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Mrs. Cox’s memorial service will be Saturday, March 23, at 4 p.m. at Lakeview Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4001 Macedonia Rd., Powder Springs, GA 30127.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist, Pathfinder Club, 4001 Macedonia Rd., Powder Springs, GA 30127.
