Final 2 Men Convicted Today in Bobby Tillman Murder

Two men were found guilty for their parts in the random killing of 18-year-old Bobby Tillman after a Douglasville house party in November of 2010.

Horace Damon Coleman and Quantez Devonta Mallory were found guilty of malice murder today for killing Bobby Tillman in November of 2010, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Coleman and Mallory join Tracen Franklin and Emanuel Boykins who have already been convicted for their involvements in the murder of Tillman after a high school party.

Franklin, 20, was given a sentence of life without parole by Douglas County Judge William "Beau" McClain in September of 2012. Franklin will spend the rest of his life in jail.

Under an agreement with the state, Boykins pleaded guilty to killing Tillman and was sentenced to life in prison with the opportunity for parole after 30 years.

Douglas County District Attorney David McDade told the AJC that the two men are scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 4.

“This crime touched this community like no other case ever has. It impacted the community and me,” McDade said to the AJC. “This was the most random, brutal, senseless crime I have ever seen. So this was not just a crime against the family, but the community. Bobby had a bright future, and these thugs took him away from us.”

Tillman attended a Douglasville house party and was randomly attacked by the four boys ultimately convicted of his murder. They reportedly kicked, punched and stomped Tillman to death as he laid on the ground.

These young men will be up for the death penalty, it will be up to a jury to decide if they will have it or not. Tracen Franklin would of gotten it but the jury could not make a decision, so the judge gave him life without parole.

First of all "Mouth" do us a favor and take the bed sheet off of your head so that you may be able to see your way into the present. Second, where was your righteous indignation when a young man (caucasian) was the direct cause of a 16 year olds death via under age drunk driving? This IS a high profile case! It has reached international status, and last time I checked the death of these boys WILL NOT bring Bobby Tillman back! We don't use the electric chair in this state so save your lard for dinner. This case, all four parts is complex and highly flawed. I do not agree with the jury's decision on these two cases. And the death penalty is NOT something the DA is seeking in these two final cases, however, the sentence requirements should put a smile on your bigoted face. Justice has no color (or rather its not supposed to) so instead of calling names and pretending that we the Almighty County of Douglas create state and federal laws how about you pack your truck up, pick out a shack far into the woods and stay there.

Hatzog, I am black and I agree with "Mouth" these boys acted like animals and should be treated and called as such. Color has NOTHING to do with the barbarian act of these young men in beating the life out of another young man for absolutely no reason.. I try to think of myslef as a christian but I say fry them.

I agree with Lara, one of these young men use to live in my neighborhood and he was awful as a child. I am sad that it's another life taken but these young men deserve whatever they get, they didn't just hit this young man they stumped this young man to DEATH. He was just leaving a party and was killed because some thugs wanted to fight. I hope this makes an example for the rest of the people in Douglasville.
