Christy Petrie Broyles, age 38 of Lithia Springs, passed away, March 30, 2011. She was born October 11, 1972 in Paulding County to Carol Petrie-Newman and the late David F. Petrie. She was a graduate of Tallulah Falls School, received her Bachelors in Human Services at Mercer University and was formerly employed as a Hope Grant Administrater in Cobb County to pre-schools, a homemaker and was a Christian.

Survivors are her, husband, Jerry Wayne Broyles of Lithia Springs, mother: Carol Petrie-Newman and step-father, Harry Newman, of Douglasville; daughter: Jessica Marie Teal of Lithia Springs and sons: Jonathan Wayne Broyles and Justin Alton Broyles, both of Douglasville; maternal grandparents: John and Ivalee Southerland of Steinhatchee, FL.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 3:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Arthur Southerland and Rev. Frankie Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Douglasville.

The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 5-9PM at the funeral home.
