Brian David Saxon, age 30, of Villa Rica, passed away, Monday, March 21, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born November 4, 1980 in Douglasville, the son of Gregory David Saxon and Constance Eve “Connie” Blair Saxon. He graduated from Alexander High School in 1999 following 13 years of perfect attendance. He attended IBEW Electrician School for five years and graduated with honors. He currently worked as an electrician or “Journeyman Wireman”, for Uptime Electric. Brian was an avid fisherman. He loved building mustangs. He thoroughly enjoyed baseball, specifically the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed football and RC cars. He was a very athletic person always getting in a three-mile run every day. Brian will be lovingly remembered for his contagious laugh. When he laughed he made the world laugh. Brian was a Christian.
Survivors are his wife, Lindsey Elise Sims Saxon of Villa Rica; parents: Gregory David Saxon and Constance Eve “Connie” Blair Saxon, of Winston; maternal grandparents: Ralph Earl and Evelyn Blair Halton of Austell; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Francis Saxon of Temple; sister and brother-in-law: Naomi “Nomer” and Jerry Perry of Villa Rica; uncles and aunts: Samuel Terry Blair of Marietta, Wayne Milton Saxon and Diane Saxon of Winston, Sidney Thomas Saxon and Lisa Saxon of Austell, Daniel Jackson Blair and Ann Blair of Hiram, Clara Watson Bailey of Rockmart, Philip Wallace Blair and Victoria Blair of Toccoa, Marsha Doza of Temple; nieces and nephews: Hayden Head, Brady Perry, Chevy Perry, Kylen Emma Sims, Zoë Sims; brother-in-law and spouse, Ryan and Kira Sims of Douglasville; sister-in-law: Haley Sims of New York; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Steve and Desiree Sims of Douglasville; Jeffrey and Fran Perry, Sr., of Douglasville; many friends and extended family.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville. Interment will follow in Rosehaven Cemetery with Bronson Sargent, David Porter, Curt Stitcher, Jeff Killian, David Casey, Chris Ragsdale, Richard McClain and Corey Watson serving as Pallbearers. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the Alexander High School Class of 1999 and the Brotherhood of Local 613 I.B.E.W.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 12 Noon until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
