Comcast invites anyone wanting to make a difference in their community to volunteer at the 2011 Comcast Cares Day.  Volunteer projects will be held at 20 locations throughout Metro Atlanta. In celebration of the 10^th anniversary of Comcast Cares Day, we have set a goal of securing 2,500 volunteers from Comcast and the communities we serve.  For details and to sign-up, visit www.comcastcaresatlanta.com.

Two projects are located in Douglas County:

-95 volunteers are invited to the Inner Harbour Campus Youth Villages on April 16, 23 and 30. All sessions begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon and are open to differing amounts of volunteers. The largest volunteer session will be held April 30. Tasks will include string barb wire fence, staining, cleaning, mulching and installing deer netting. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

-150 volunteers are invited to donate blood on April 28 as part of a Red Cross Blood Drive held at the Douglas County Courthouse.
